Landon Stuart’s Eagle Project

At the Hermann Park Conservancy, there is a generously sized community garden that holds many crops that the people working there tend. They grow these plants so they can donate the harvestable produce to people who are in need of food and that may not be able to get fresh fruits or vegetables elsewhere.

My project is to restore the physical garden beds which have been slowly aging and decomposing over the years. I am looking to fix three of the planter boxes. The cost for each planter box is $1200 and the total amount I am looking to raise is $3600. I need this money to be able to afford the restorations. Please donate to help a friend in scouting give back to the community that taught him to do so.

APR 13-15 Mountain Bike Campout

The next campout is Mountain Biking April 13 to 15. The campout will be at Buescher State Park near Smithville, and we will bike at Rocky Hill Ranch.

We recommend you block out your calendar so you do not miss this fun event.

Please sign up on line and complete a waiver form. Sign up forms are due by April 7 but scouts need to sign up early so that the patrols can plan the campout and so that we can plan instruction at the scout meeting.

Please note the Ranch rules: Helmets are ALWAYS required when biking.

During the March 26^th troop meeting we will have an instructional session on some of the biking Merit Badge requirements.

During the April 10^th troop meeting we will conduct a short bike skills evaluation before we load the bikes on the trailer.

Parents, the permission form also asks if you have a truck. We may need one or two trucks to help to transport bikes.

Meals

Each camper should bring a sack dinner and drink on Friday for the trip. Meals at the campsite will include Saturday breakfast, sack lunch, trail/backpack dinner, and trail/backpack breakfast for Sunday morning.

Forms
