Nova classes are once a month last Friday of the month. The counselor normally emails out the pre-reqs a week prior.

May Campout May21st through May 23rd:
Scouts and Families, we are happy to announce that we will have our first Troop weekend camping since 2020. This is a great opportunity for the Scouts to get together and enjoy fellowship in the outdoors. In addition to just getting outside, we will use this opportunity to work on some requirements the Mustangs need on their path to first class.
Friday, May 21 5:00p.m. Gather at WUMC and load the trailer
5:30 p.m. Depart WUMC (Buc-ee’s Stop)
7:30 p.m. Arrive Stephen F. Austin State Park
9:00 p.m. Cracker Barrel
Saturday, May 22 Meals with Patrols, Activities and Campfire
Sunday, May 23 12:00 p.m. Depart Stephen F. Austin State Park (Buc-ee’s Stop)
1:30 p.m. Arrive WUMC
The cost for the campout is $10 per participant.
Summer Camp 2021
Based on the survey results, summer camp will be June 20 through 26 at Bear Creek outside of Hunt, TX. All scouts and leaders are required to have a current Part A,B and C BSA health form. The forms can be downloaded at https://www.scouting.org/…fety/ahmr/
The cost to attend camp is $375 per scout and $150 per adult. Some youth programs may have additional fees associated with supplies like COPE, shooting, BMX, etc.
The prefered method of payment is a check payable to Troop 266 and ma iled to Troop Treasurer by June 1st.

We anticipate additional training opportunities will be offered to adult leaders including CP/AED, First Aid, and Wilderness First Aid. Should an adult leader elect to attend these classes the class fee will be paid by the Troop.
