Active Project: Heath Marks’ Eagle Project

My Eagle Scout Project will be 11/16/24 at the City Southside Place Town Hall (6309 Edloe Street). My project has 2 parts. First is installing storm water inlet marking stickers on inlets around the City of Southside Place. Inlet marking stickers remind citizens not to place debris (such as leaves and trash) in the storm drains which help to prevent flooding. The second is cleaning and buffing the City Hall floors, an essential building of Southside Place, to restore shine and appearance.
There will be 2 shifts: 9:00AM – 12:00PM and 1:00PM – 4:00PM. Lunch and snacks will be provided from 12:00-1:00PM. Please meet at Southside Place City Hall at the beginning of each shift.

Please remember to renew your membership for the upcoming year.

Watch out for troop (Troop 266) emails regarding current dues for Scouts and Adult Leaders.

Merit Badge Opportunities

Opportunities include Merit Badge Fairs, badges through the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and Summer Camps.

Summer is a prime time to earn badges.

TRAIL TO EAGLE CAMPOUT

March 2-4

The Trail to Eagle (TTE) campout will be held at Huntsville State Park . During TTE scouts holding the rank of Scout, Tenderfoot and Second Class can achieve some of the requirements needed to advance to the next rank, as well as work on the offered merit badge training. It is also an opportunity for prospective new scouts and their parents to learn about Troop 266.
